Let’s Talk Turkey… and other Farm Products

Meet with members of SLO Farmers Co-op to learn about their farming practices, the four pillars of sustainability, and the consumer’s role in Wisconsin’s farm system.

This is a time to get all your questions answered about the capacity of local farms, differences in production, the environmental impact on water resources, and whatever else you want to discuss.
• What crops are GMO and why does it matter?
• Why does organic cost more and what about certification?
• What is the difference between animals on pasture and those in feedlots?
• What is behind so many food recalls?
Open dialogue encouraged, so come and talk with farmers from SLO Farmers Co-op.
